Acceptable Use Policy

This is a placeholder written before legal review. It describes how we intend to work and is not yet the binding text. A few company details are still being finalised.

About this policy

This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who sells with ShopFast (the store owner, their team and anyone acting for them) and to everything in or sent through a store: products, files and keys, listings, images, pages, reviews, emails and messages, marketing, plugins and themes, and the use of our API, bots and AI features.

It applies on top of the law and of your payment providers' own rules, which are often stricter. If you are not sure whether something is allowed, ask us at [email protected] before you sell it.

What you may not sell or offer

Illegal goods and services

Anything that is illegal where you are or where your buyers are, or that helps someone break the law.

Stolen and fraudulently obtained goods

License keys, game keys, gift cards, vouchers, accounts or login credentials that are stolen, hacked or leaked, that were obtained by fraud (for example bought with stolen cards or through chargebacks), or that you are not authorised to sell. You may also not sell accounts for online services, such as game, streaming or social media accounts, unless that service's own terms allow them to be transferred.

Malware and attack tools

  • Malware of any kind, such as viruses, ransomware, spyware, stalkerware, remote access trojans, keyloggers, information stealers and crypters.
  • Phishing kits, phishing pages and other tools for tricking people into giving up credentials or money.
  • Carding tools, and card data such as card numbers, "fullz" and dumps.
  • Credential-stuffing tools, combo lists and account checkers.
  • Booter, stresser and DDoS-for-hire services, and botnets.
  • Exploits and services for getting into systems without the owner's permission.

Piracy and infringement

Pirated, cracked or leaked software, games, media, courses or other content; key generators, cracks and "nulled" software; counterfeit goods; and anything else that infringes copyright, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, or rights of privacy or publicity. The Copyright and Takedown Policy explains how rights holders can report it.

Getting around technical protection

Software or services that circumvent technical protection measures, such as copy protection, DRM, license checks or region locks, where doing so is unlawful in your country or your buyer's. Game cheats, hacks, spoofers and tools that bypass anti-cheat systems are not allowed in any case.

Personal data and doxxing

Personal data you have no right to sell, such as databases, leaks, lead lists or lookups of private individuals; doxxing; and tools or services for stalking or covert surveillance.

Weapons, drugs and gambling

  • Weapons, ammunition and explosives, and instructions or files for making them.
  • Illegal drugs and other controlled substances, prescription medicines, and drug paraphernalia.
  • Gambling, betting, lotteries, raffles and other games of chance played for money or anything of value. This applies even where the activity is licensed.

Sexual content

Any content that sexualises minors. We remove it, close the account at once and report it to the authorities and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline. ShopFast does not allow adult content of any kind either: pornography, other sexually explicit material and sexual services.

Hate, violence and harassment

Content that promotes, incites or glorifies violence, terrorism or violent extremism; content that attacks people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or another protected characteristic; harassment, threats and bullying; and content that encourages self-harm.

Money and financial services

  • Money transmission, currency exchange and cash-out services, and payment processing for others.
  • Buying, selling or exchanging cryptocurrency on behalf of others.
  • Financial products or services that need a licence or registration you do not hold, such as investments, securities, trading signals that promise returns, loans and credit repair, and pyramid or multi-level marketing schemes.

Fake engagement

Fake reviews, ratings, followers, likes, views, plays or other engagement on any platform, including reviews in stores on ShopFast, and accounts or tools built to produce them.

Deceptive and unlawful marketing

False or misleading claims about a product, its price, its availability, its status or its results; countdowns, stock levels, purchase alerts or discounts that are not true; hidden renewals or charges; pretending to be another person, another brand or ShopFast; and messages sent without the consent the law requires.

Sanctions and export controls

Selling to people or organisations located in, or ordinarily resident in, a country or region under comprehensive sanctions, or named on a sanctions list (see who can use ShopFast), and exporting software or technology in breach of export controls.

Getting around controls

  • Evading ShopFast's controls, such as limits, reviews, suspensions or Fraud Shield, for example by opening new accounts or stores after we restricted one.
  • Evading a payment provider's controls, for example by describing your products to it as something else, splitting payments, or taking payments through another business's account.
  • Taking payments through your store for products or businesses that are not in it.

How you may not use ShopFast

You must not use ShopFast, its API, bots, plugins, themes or AI features to:

  • attack, disrupt or overload ShopFast, other stores or their buyers, or get around rate limits;
  • probe or test ShopFast for vulnerabilities without our permission (to report a vulnerability, write to [email protected]), or access data or accounts you are not authorised to access;
  • scrape other stores or the Service, except through our API within its limits;
  • upload files you know or suspect to be harmful;
  • open accounts to claim an offer meant to be used once, such as free AI credits, more than once; or
  • create content or products that this policy prohibits.

How you sell

  • Describe your products accurately, and deliver what you sell.
  • Show prices, renewals and the main terms clearly before the buyer pays.
  • Honour your refund policy and the consumer law that applies to your buyers.
  • Answer buyers within a reasonable time, and handle complaints and disputes in good faith.
  • Keep the product status you show buyers, on product pages and status pages, accurate.
  • Protect your buyers' personal data and use it only as your privacy policy says.

How we enforce this policy

We learn about violations from reports at Report abuse and to [email protected], from rights holders and authorities, and from our own checks. A person on our team reviews each case. Depending on how serious it is, we may ask you to fix it, warn you, remove or disable the content, hide a product or your store, stop new orders, limit features, suspend your store or account, or close it. The Terms of Service describe each of these measures and how we choose between them.

For the most serious violations, such as content that sexualises minors, malware, stolen goods, fraud, or a threat to someone's life or safety, we act without notice, may close the account at once and may stop you from opening new ones. Where the law requires it, we keep the information involved and share it with the authorities. We may also tell your payment providers about a serious violation, such as fraud or the sale of illegal goods, where their terms or the law require it or to protect buyers.

Statements of reasons

When we act against your content, store or account, we tell you by email unless the law or an authority forbids it. We say what we did and to which content, for how long, the facts we relied on (including whether a report led to it), whether automated means were used, which rule or law the content breaks and why, and how you can appeal. If you reported content, we tell you what we decided.

Appeals

You can appeal within 6 months of being told about a decision, free of charge: reply to our email, or write to [email protected] with the decision's reference and why you think it is wrong. People who reported content can appeal our decision on their report in the same way. Where possible, someone who was not involved in the original decision reviews the appeal. We tell you the outcome and our reasons without undue delay, and if we got it wrong we reverse the decision. If you are in the EU, you may also be able to take the dispute to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body, and you can always go to court.

Reporting a violation

Report a store, a product or any other content that you believe is illegal or breaks this policy at Report abuse. Tell us:

  • where the content is, with its exact web address;
  • what is wrong with it and why, as clearly as you can;
  • your name and email address, so we can tell you what we decide (you can report content that sexualises minors without giving them); and
  • that you believe in good faith that your report is accurate and complete.
