# Refer sellers

> Share your referral link and earn 20% of the fees ShopFast collects from every store you bring, for 12 months, added to your balance and paid out with your payouts.

Every store has a referral link. When a seller opens it and then opens their first ShopFast store, that store is your
referral. For its first 12 months, you earn **20% of the fees ShopFast collects from it**, added to your balance and paid
out with your payouts.

## Your link

Open **Money → Refer sellers** and press **Copy link**. Your link is `https://shopfa.st/?ref=` followed by your store's
address, for example `https://shopfa.st/?ref=nyrex`.

The **Powered by ShopFast** badge in your store's footer uses your link too. Buyers who sell can find ShopFast through
your store, and the stores they open count as yours. Turning the badge off in your footer settings removes the badge,
but your link keeps working.

Share it where sellers ask what you use: your Discord, your socials, a video, your store's FAQ.

## What counts

- **The seller's first store.** The store must be opened within 60 days of opening your link, and it must be its
  owner's first ShopFast store.
- **Not your own.** Stores you or your team open don't count.
- **The last link counts.** If a seller opened more than one referral link before opening their store, the last one
  counts.

## What you earn

You earn 20% of the fees ShopFast collects from the store:

- ShopFast Pay sale fees, less fees given back on refunds and lost chargebacks;
- payout fees;
- plan payments.

Sales on the seller's own payment methods carry no ShopFast fee, so they earn nothing. Fees count in your store's
currency.

Each month's share is added to your balance 30 days after the month ends, so refunds and chargebacks from that month come
off first. A month with more refunds than fees adds nothing, and the difference comes off later months. Nothing that was
added is ever taken back from your balance.

Your balance pays out like the rest of it (see [Payouts](https://shopfa.st/docs/selling/payouts)). **Financials** shows it as
**Referral earnings**.

## What you see

**Money → Refer sellers** shows:

- your link;
- what was added to your balance, and what is on its way;
- the stores you brought, when each joined and until when it earns for you;
- each month's share, added or coming.

Amounts per store are never shown: they would tell you what another store sells.

## When ShopFast ends a referral

ShopFast can end a referral that breaks these rules, for example a seller's own second store under another name. Nothing
more is added from that store. What was already added stays in your balance.

ShopFast may change the share or the length for new referrals. Stores you already brought keep the terms they joined on.
