Once a way to pay is connected ([the complete guide](https://shopfa.st/docs/selling/get-paid)), this page covers the rest of
**Money**: how ways to pay show at checkout, refunds, manual methods, and the pages that show your money.

## Checkout rules

Open **Money → Payments → Checkout rules**. It has three cards: **At checkout**, **Order limits by payment method** and
**Payment failover**. Until something is connected, **At checkout** says **No way to pay yet** with a button back to
**Ways to pay**.

### The order buyers see

**At checkout** lists every way to pay you have, in the order buyers see them.

<figure class="doc-shot"><img src="https://shopfa.st/docs/img/get-paid/checkout-order.webp" alt="The At checkout card: three numbered rows, PayPal (email only), Cash App and PayPal Friends & Family, each 'All countries · any amount' with a Shown switch, a Rules button and up and down arrows (outlined on the first row). Below, the preview, outlined: 'Preview: a buyer in United States · US paying $24.00 sees PayPal (email only), Cash App, PayPal Friends & Family'. Footer: 'ShopFast checks these rules again when the buyer pays.' and a Save button." width="800" height="275" loading="lazy" decoding="async"><figcaption>The order at checkout. A row's controls and the preview are outlined.</figcaption></figure>

- The arrows move a way to pay up or down. Buyers see the first one first.
- **Shown** / **Hidden** takes a way to pay off checkout without disconnecting it.
- The line under each name sums up its rules, such as **All countries · any amount**.
- **Preview: a buyer in** a country **paying** an amount **sees** the ways to pay that buyer would get, with your
rules and order limits applied. **No way to pay** means that buyer could not pay.

Click **Save** when you are done. Buyers see the new order on their next checkout, and ShopFast checks the rules again
when the buyer pays.

### Rules for one way to pay

**Rules** on a row opens **When PayPal shows** (with that way to pay's name).

<figure class="doc-shot"><img src="https://shopfa.st/docs/img/get-paid/rule-editor.webp" alt="The dialog 'When PayPal (email only) shows: Buyers outside these rules do not see this way to pay. Leave everything open to always show it.' Countries: All, Only these, All except (selected). Hide from buyers in: Nepal, and an Add a country… picker. Smallest order and Largest order fields. Buttons Cancel and Apply." width="524" height="437" loading="lazy" decoding="async"><figcaption>Rules for one way to pay: countries and order total.</figcaption></figure>

- **Countries**: **All**, **Only these** (pick the countries that see it) or **All except** (pick the ones that do
  not).
- **Smallest order** and **Largest order**: the order total after discounts. Leave them empty for no limit.

Click **Apply**, then **Save** on the card.

### Order limits by payment method

This card sets limits per kind of payment, whichever gateway it comes from: **Cards and wallets**, **PayPal**,
**Crypto** and **Bank transfer and manual**. Kinds that are not at checkout right now say so.

<figure class="doc-shot"><img src="https://shopfa.st/docs/img/get-paid/order-limits.webp" alt="The Order limits by payment method card: rows for Cards and wallets, PayPal (largest order $200.00), Crypto, and Bank transfer and manual, each with Smallest order and Largest order fields; the switch Limit cards on a buyer's first order; and the live example, outlined: 'A $250.00 cart can pay with: Bank transfer. Hidden: PayPal (up to $200)'. Footer: You have unsaved changes, Discard and Save." width="800" height="416" loading="lazy" decoding="async"><figcaption>PayPal limited to $200: the example shows a $250 cart no longer offers PayPal.</figcaption></figure>

- **Smallest order** and **Largest order** for each kind. Empty means no limit.
- **Limit cards on a buyer's first order**: buyers with no paid order at your store pay by card only up to the amount
you set. Above it they see your other ways to pay.
- The example line runs the same rules checkout does: type a cart total and see which kinds can pay, and why the others
  are hidden.
- ShopFast can set caps of its own. When it has, each row says so, and a limit past the cap is pulled in when you save.

Click **Save**. New checkouts follow the limits at once. More: [Order limits per payment method](https://shopfa.st/docs/selling/order-limits).

### Payment failover

When a card is declined or a provider fails, buyers get your next way to pay on the same screen. Their cart and details
stay, and nobody is charged twice.

<figure class="doc-shot"><img src="https://shopfa.st/docs/img/get-paid/failover.webp" alt="The Payment failover card, switched On: stats for the last 30 days (Revenue recovered, Orders saved, Carts recovered, Failed payments); 'Offer the next way to pay after' with Card declined, Provider error, Provider outage and Refused by the provider's risk check ticked; 'Ways to pay offered as a fallback' with each way to pay ticked; 'Mark a provider degraded after 3 failures'; 'Keep it out of checkout for 10 minutes'; a switch to be told in the inbox; and Provider health." width="800" height="305" loading="lazy" decoding="async"><figcaption>Payment failover, with what triggers it and which ways to pay it offers.</figcaption></figure>

- The switch at the top turns failover on or off.
- **Offer the next way to pay after**: the failures that trigger it.
- **Ways to pay offered as a fallback**, in your checkout order. Fallbacks also follow your order limits.
- **Mark a provider degraded after** a number of provider errors or outages in a row (declines never count), and
**Keep it out of checkout for** a while. Then one checkout tries it again.
- **Provider health** shows each provider as **Taking payments**, **On trial** or **Degraded, sitting out**. **It works
again** puts a provider back at once.

Click **Save failover** after a change.

## Refunds as store credit

**Payments → Refunds** lets you offer refunds as store credit with a bonus. Buyers get value right away and the money
stays in your store.

<figure class="doc-shot"><img src="https://shopfa.st/docs/img/get-paid/credit-refunds.webp" alt="The Refunds as store credit card, switched Off: Bonus on store credit +10%; Buyers choose within 7 days; When you refund an order: Buyer chooses or Store credit first; a preview of a $20.00 refund: Store credit $22.00 with a +$2.00 bonus, ready to spend right now, or Money back $20.00 in 5 to 10 days; and Revenue kept: Kept as store credit, Taken as credit, Bonus cost, Credit outstanding." width="800" height="462" loading="lazy" decoding="async"><figcaption>Refunds as store credit, with a preview of what the buyer sees.</figcaption></figure>

- The switch at the top turns it on.
- **Bonus on store credit**: extra credit, paid by you.
- **Buyers choose within**: after that, the refund goes back to their payment method.
- **When you refund an order**: **Buyer chooses** (they pick on their order page) or **Store credit first** (the
refund dialog starts on credit with the bonus; you can still pick money back).
- **What the buyer sees for a refund of** an amount: the two choices, side by side.
- **Revenue kept**: what stayed as store credit, the share taken as credit, what the bonus cost, and credit not spent
yet, for 30 days, 90 days or 12 months, with every offer listed below.

Click **Save** after a change. More on refunds: [Buyer protection](https://shopfa.st/docs/selling/buyer-protection).

## Manual payment methods

Bank transfer, cash on pickup or anything you confirm yourself. The card is at the bottom of **Ways to pay**. It works
only on your own gateways: on a store set to ShopFast Pay it says **Own gateway only**.

<figure class="doc-shot"><img src="https://shopfa.st/docs/img/get-paid/manual-methods.webp" alt="The Manual payment methods card: 'Bank transfer, cash on pickup or anything you confirm yourself. Buyers get your instructions and a reference; you mark the order paid in Orders → Awaiting payment.' with the Add method button outlined, an empty state 'No manual methods', and the footer 'Refunds for manual payments are recorded in ShopFast; send the money back the way the buyer paid.'" width="800" height="230" loading="lazy" decoding="async"><figcaption><strong>Add method</strong> is outlined.</figcaption></figure>

Click **Add method**:

<figure class="doc-shot"><img src="https://shopfa.st/docs/img/get-paid/manual-add.webp" alt="The dialog 'Add a manual method': Name buyers see (placeholder Bank transfer (SEPA)), Instructions (placeholder with an example IBAN, BIC and 'Put the reference in the transfer note.'), Time to pay 72 (hours before an unpaid checkout closes, 1 to 720), the switch Offer it at checkout, and the buttons Cancel and Save." width="524" height="524" loading="lazy" decoding="async"><figcaption>A manual method: its name, instructions, time to pay and the switch to offer it.</figcaption></figure>

- **Name buyers see** at checkout.
- **Instructions**, shown after checkout with the order's reference. Say what to put in the payment note.
- **Time to pay**: hours before an unpaid checkout closes (1 to 720).
- **Offer it at checkout**: off keeps the method but hides it.

When the money arrives, mark the order paid in **Orders → Awaiting payment**. Refunds for manual payments are recorded
in ShopFast; you send the money back yourself.

## Balance & payouts

### On your own gateways

Buyers pay your gateway, so your gateway pays you, on its own schedule. ShopFast never holds a balance for you, and the
page says so.

<figure class="doc-shot"><img src="https://shopfa.st/docs/img/get-paid/balance-own.webp" alt="Balance & payouts on own gateways: 'Buyers pay your own gateway, so your gateway pays you.' The card Your gateway pays you (badge Own gateway): your gateway sends payouts to your bank on its own schedule, ShopFast takes no fee on these orders, you handle sales tax and VAT and your gateway's fee comes out of your share, with a Change model button. The card Connected gateways lists PayPal, Cash App and PayPal Friends & Family with their accounts, and a Manage button." width="800" height="260" loading="lazy" decoding="async"><figcaption>Balance &amp; payouts when buyers pay your own gateways.</figcaption></figure>

**Connected gateways** lists each one with its account. **Manage** and **Change model** go to **Payments**. If ShopFast
still holds money from a time ShopFast Pay collected for you, a card above says **ShopFast still holds money for you**
and pays it out with the next payout run.

### With ShopFast Pay

While a store is set to ShopFast Pay, the page shows its balance and payouts. This is what it shows, number by number.

<figure class="doc-shot"><img src="https://shopfa.st/docs/img/get-paid/balance-mor.webp" alt="Balance & payouts while set to ShopFast Pay: 'Sales clear in 7 days, then pay out every Friday. Amounts are after fees.' Withdrawable $0.00 with the badge On schedule, 'Cleared sales, after fees and refunds.', the flow Sale, Clears in 7 days, Withdrawable, Crypto Fridays, and a disabled Withdraw button: 'Set up payouts to withdraw.' Next payout: 'No payout is due yet…', Schedule Weekly, Fridays, 'Add a crypto wallet so ShopFast can pay you.' and Set up payouts. A strip: Clearing $0.00 (7-day hold), Reserve $0.00 (refund cover), Paid out, last 0. Payout history: Requested, You receive, Payout fee, To, Status." width="800" height="498" loading="lazy" decoding="async"><figcaption>Balance &amp; payouts on a store set to ShopFast Pay.</figcaption></figure>

| What you see | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **Withdrawable** | Cleared sales, after fees and refunds. What you can withdraw now. |
| The badge next to it | The payout runs: **On schedule**, **Delayed**, or **Manual** when payouts are not sent automatically. |
| **Withdraw** | Ask for a payout now. Its footer says why it is off: no payout wallet yet, below the amount you can withdraw from, or a payout already waiting. |
| **Next payout** | The amount and day of the next payout, or **Payout requested** while one is waiting for ShopFast's review or being sent. **Schedule** is the payout schedule. |
| **Clearing** | Sales still in the hold period (the note gives the days, and any longer high-risk hold). |
| **In payout** | Money in a payout on its way to your wallet (shown only then). |
| **Reserve** | Held back against refunds, if your store has a reserve. |
| **Paid out, last N** | The total of your recent paid payouts. |
| **Payout history** | Every payout: when it was requested and by whom, **You receive**, **Payout fee**, **To** (coin, network and address) and **Status**, with **View transaction** on paid ones and the reason on ones not sent. |

### Your payout wallet

ShopFast Pay pays out in crypto to a wallet you add with **Set up payouts**.

<figure class="doc-shot"><img src="https://shopfa.st/docs/img/get-paid/wallet-dialog.webp" alt="The Set up payouts dialog: 'ShopFast Pay pays you in crypto. Pick the coin and network your wallet uses, then paste its address.' Coin: USDT, USDC, BTC, LTC, ETH. Network: Tron, BNB Chain, Solana, Ethereum. 'Stablecoins hold their dollar value between the payout and your wallet.' A field for the USDT on Tron (TRC-20) address, a warning to only use an address that receives USDT on Tron (TRC-20) because coins sent on another network cannot be recovered, and Continue." width="402" height="507" loading="lazy" decoding="async"><figcaption>Choosing the coin, the network and the address.</figcaption></figure>

1. Pick the **Coin**, then the **Network** for stablecoins.
2. Paste the address from your wallet. Only use an address that receives that exact coin on that network.
3. Click **Continue**, then confirm it is you: the code from your authenticator app, or a 6-digit code emailed to you
that works for this address for 10 minutes.

More on holds, schedules, minimums and **Withdraw**: [Payouts](https://shopfa.st/docs/selling/payouts).

## Financials

**Financials** turns your ledger into statements. Pick a period with the range button (**Last month** at first, or
**This month**, **Last 30 days**, **This year** and more) and download any report with **Download CSV**: **This
report**, or **Full ledger** for every entry in the period. Days are in your store's time zone.

<figure class="doc-shot"><img src="https://shopfa.st/docs/img/get-paid/financials.webp" alt="The Financials page: a Last month range button and Download CSV; tabs Statement, By month, Payout reconciliation, Tax by country; tiles Net sales, Net earnings, Paid out and Balance; the Statement · USD card 'Sales paid to your own gateway. ShopFast takes no fee on them.' marked 'Ties out to the ledger', with lines from Opening balance to Closing balance; and side cards For context, Where the balance sits and Checks." width="800" height="794" loading="lazy" decoding="async"><figcaption>The statement for a period, on a store paid through its own gateways.</figcaption></figure>

- **Statement**: the tiles **Net sales** (with the number of orders), **Net earnings** (after fees, refunds and
disputes), **Paid out** (and how many payouts) and **Balance** (and what it was at the start). Below, the statement
from **Opening balance** to **Closing balance**: each line says what it counts, such as **Gross sales: Order subtotals
before discounts**. **Ties out to the ledger** and the **Checks** card show it was recomputed from your raw ledger
entries and adds up. **For context** lists amounts that are not part
of your balance, such as tax and processor fees, and **Where the balance sits** shows pending, available, reserve
and held for disputes at the start and end.
- **By month**: the last 12 months, one statement row each.
- **Payout reconciliation**: every payout with the orders in it.
- **Tax by country**: sales by buyer country with the tax collected, and who remitted it.

## Fees & billing

**Fees & billing** shows what ShopFast takes from a sale, priced the way checkout prices a real order, and what ShopFast
charged each month.

<figure class="doc-shot"><img src="https://shopfa.st/docs/img/get-paid/billing-own.webp" alt="Fees & billing on own gateways: the Your fees card, 'ShopFast takes no fee on your own payment setup', set by ShopFast: No fees on your own payment setup, ShopFast fees: None on your own payment setup, With ShopFast Pay: 15% + $0.30 per order + 3%. On a $24.00 sale: Sale $24.00, ShopFast fee $0.00, Processor fee estimated −$1.33, You receive $22.67. Statements: October 2026 with Orders, Sales, Commission, Payout fees, Refunded fees and Total fees, and CSV downloads." width="800" height="375" loading="lazy" decoding="async"><figcaption>Fees &amp; billing on your own gateways: no ShopFast fee.</figcaption></figure>

- **Your fees**: the fees on your store, with **Set by ShopFast** (and **Custom rate** when ShopFast set one for your
store). On your own gateways it says **No fees** and shows what ShopFast Pay would cost, for comparison. Fee changes
  apply to new orders only.
- **On a $24.00 sale** (in your currency): the sale, ShopFast's fee, the processor fee and **You receive**. On your own
gateways the processor fee is an estimate of what your gateway charges.
- **Statements**: per month, the orders, sales, commission, payout fees, refunded fees and total fees, each with a
**CSV** of every fee line, or **Download all**.

While a store is set to ShopFast Pay, the same page lists ShopFast Pay's rates and payout terms.

<figure class="doc-shot"><img src="https://shopfa.st/docs/img/get-paid/billing-mor.webp" alt="Fees & billing while set to ShopFast Pay: 15% + $0.30 per paid order, ShopFast handles payments; Commission 15% of each order, Fixed fee $0.30 per paid order, Merchant of record 3% of each order, Payout fee $1.00 per payout, Payouts in crypto every Friday or when you withdraw, Payout minimum $25.00, Hold period 7 days after each sale, Reserve None. On a $24.00 sale: Platform commission −$3.60, Fixed fee −$0.30, Merchant of record fee −$0.72, You receive $19.38." width="800" height="461" loading="lazy" decoding="async"><figcaption>Fees &amp; billing on a store set to ShopFast Pay, at the standard rates.</figcaption></figure>

| Line | What it is |
| --- | --- |
| **Commission** | A share of each order after discounts. |
| **Fixed fee** | A flat amount per paid order. |
| **Merchant of record** | A share of each order for payment processing, tax handling and chargeback cover. |
| **Payout fee** | A flat amount per payout, taken from the payout. |
| **Payouts**, **Payout minimum**, **Hold period**, **Reserve** | When ShopFast Pay money is paid out, the smallest payout, how long each sale is held, and any share held back against refunds. |
